!! SYSTEM CHANGES !!
We are changing our clinical systems on the 15th September.
Please be aware of the following information that will affect our service over the next couple of weeks.
From 5th – 15th September all clinical information added to the old system will not automatically transfer to the new system.
During this time, we will not be able to offer routine, non-urgent appointments. We will be providing urgent medical care ONLY and can be accessed in the usual way. Please be aware you may be asked to wait until the new system goes live if the issue is not considered to be urgent.
Any repeat medication will have to be printed and collected from reception – no repeat medication can be issued electronically during this time; we have issued extra medication over the usual monthly amount for some patients to cover this period.
We will have no access to the NHS spine which means that we cannot receive any letters from hospital or see any ongoing referrals, we will also not receive any test results during this period.
From the 16th September - we will be operating as close to normal as possible as we learn the new system.
All documents and results will come across to us in bulk on the 16th September so please bear with us as it may take time for us to get these reviewed, added and filed to your record.
The online service may be offline after we go live on the new system. We will contact patients and provide solutions to get patients back on line as soon as possible.
Thank You for your patience and understanding through this change. It will take us some tome to get up to speed with the new system, but we are sure it will improve the way we work and allow us to provide improved levels of patient care.
CHANGE OF ONLINE SERVICE AT VERITAS
To improve patient care, our Practice is moving from EMIS Web to the more reliable SystmOne system, already used by many GP Practices, hospitals, and NHS services. This change will help us provide faster, smoother, and more connected care.
As part of this move, our online services will also change. EMIS Online will transition to SystmOnline, which means that access to medical records, ordering prescriptions, and booking appointments will be unavailable from 4th – 15th September, and will resume on 16th September. This change will also impact access to the NHSApp
Patients will need to re-register for SystmOnline and the NHS App (if already registered). This requires requesting access and providing ID to confirm identity. We encourage patients to register for the NHSApp due to ease of access.
To support this process, we will provide helpful information and drop-in sessions in the coming weeks to assist anyone who needs help with registration.
Please see the below attachment for further information.

Veritas Health Centre takes the top spot in Sheffield for this year’s GP Patient Survey
The Sheffield GP surgeries where patients have the best experience have been revealed.
Ipsos administered the GP Patient Survey 2024 on behalf of NHS England, sending out 2.5 million questionnaires across the country at the beginning of the year.
It asks about local GP practice services, the last contact with the practice, the quality of care at the last appointment, overall view of the GP practice, and more.
As can be seen on the Sheffield Star website. Veritas Health Centre came out with the highest score with 99% of respondents saying their overall experience at the practice had been good.
