The surgery is now based on a strict appointment system only. Appointment times are given between 09:00 and 11:00 and 16:20 and 17:50. Should you feel that you will need more time with the doctor an appointment can be made after surgery. The appointment system operates for all the clinics and additional services.
From the 1st July 2019 as part of the extended hours services, pre-bookable appointments will be offered. Kindly contact reception for further details.
We will try to respond to your calls as efficiently as possible. During surgery hours, if you get a ringing tone please hold on—the receptionist will answer your call as soon as the line is free. The doctor is available between 11:00 and 11:30 and between 17:00 and 18:00 Monday the Friday evening except Thursday evening, should you wish to talk to him. The nurse is available between 10:30 and 11:30, and 17:00 and 18:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. If they are busy please leave your contact number with the receptionist for the doctor or nurse to call you back.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Defaulting an Appointment
We ask that patients keep appointments or tell us as soon as possible if a booking becomes inconvenient. Defaulting appointments can be detrimental to you, the practice and other patients.
We operate a practice policy for patients who fail to attend their appointments.
If you fail to attend any appointment with a healthcare professional you will receive a warning letter reminding you of the importance of cancelling unwanted appointments. If following this letter you fail to attend a further 2 appointments (which also result in a warning letter) without cancelling it you will be sent a final warning letter.
If after this you fail to attend again this may result in you being removed from our practice list.
